Ever since I was around 10 years old I've been gaining weight little by little each year. For years I didn't really notice that I was overweight. I kept telling myself that there was no way I was overweight. I was a complete couch potato with a horrible diet. I ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. Reality hit me one day in a dressing room at the mall. I was trying on jeans and thought to myself, "ok maybe I have a little problem with my weight". A couple days later I decided to Google personal trainer. Little did I know that such a simple decision would change my life forever. Ira was one of the first trainers that popped up. He trained his clients close to where I live and had a stunning resume. When I started training with Ira I weighed 218lb! We worked out hard 3 days a week and he gave me a personal diet plan. The pounds flew off! Since training with Ira I have lost over 70 pounds and discovered a talent for powerlifting. The change in my body is insane! I no longer have the pumpkin head or the thunder thighs. I love the way I look now but I know I can look even better with Ira pushing and motivating me through his challenging workouts. Ira has changed my life forever and he is a complete joy to work out with. He's very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. I can't thank him enough for everything that he has done for me!

I was involved in an accident over 20 years ago that left me with brain damage, loss of sight in one eye, hearing loss, and a slew of physical issues. After having several major surgeries, I lost a lot of muscle and strength due to the inability to be active. Over the next few years I put on many extra pounds of fat due to depression and overeating. I knew I had to get back into shape, but I didn't have the knowledge or physical ability to work out on my own. I had to learn to do everything again. The simple act of standing, balancing, and walking, were major challenges. I tried a few personal trainers, but was disappointed. They would often be on their cell phones and not watching me as I exercised. One time I lost my balance and fell because the trainer was not monitoring me closely enough. My experience with these trainers was that they did not have the knowledge to train me safely or effectively - nor did they seem to care. Everything changed when I began training with Ira. From my first workout, I knew Ira was going to be different. The way he looked, presented himself, communicated, and instructed me, I could tell he was experienced, professional, knowledgeable, and practiced what he preached. I immediately saw results! Over the next several years, I gained back my strength and muscle mass (and then some!) while losing over 50 lb of fat I had put on, which made me feel more energetic and much less tired. Ira also greatly improved my balance, which was severely impacted by my accident. Ira is very hands-on and detailed. He explains exactly how I am supposed to perform each exercise, he watches me like a hawk, and I always feel safe knowing that he is right there to either help me finish a repetition, or prevent me from falling if I lose my balance during a challenging exercise. Since training with Ira, I have once again become a productive person. I gained back my independence and ride my bike everywhere (I am not allowed to drive due to my eyesight). I have volunteered at the hospital, library, and synagogue for many years, often helping staff with moving and lifting things. I have been training with Ira for over 10 years now and couldn't be happier with what he has done for me. Ira also trains my wife and our daughters (when they visit from out of town). Hiring Ira was the best decision I could have ever made. Not only do I have the best trainer, I also gained a great friend. I highly recommend Ira to anyone interested in getting in shape!

One of the main reasons I enjoy training with Ira is that he is always 100% present and focused on me and my workout. As a 55 year old female I need to ensure I don’t injure myself, and I always feel safe working out with Ira because he is a stickler for form and knows exactly how far to push me to get results safely. He constantly asks for feedback on how exercises feel and makes adjustments to minimize any unnecessary strain on my joints and back. You can tell that Ira really loves what he does and that he gets great satisfaction seeing his clients succeed. I used to dread going to the gym but Ira keeps my workout interesting and we just have fun. Now I actually look forward to my workouts and feel sad when I have to miss one. I have had the good fortune of working with Ira for close to 10 years now. In our time together, I have been able to meet all of my weight loss and physique goals, dropping from high double digit body fat down to single digit body fat, adding many pounds of lean muscle, all while maintaining consistent recomp goals. Ira has always had a no-BS approach to his intense yet safe training, sound nutrition guidelines, easy to follow guidance, clear direction on how to make progress, and most importantly a genuine approach to my overall well-being. Ira knows that we are all human, and we make mistakes. He handles his client's successes and shortfalls all the same. No judgment, no guilt, just positive support to continue progress. I have met many of Ira’s other clients through the years and he is very capable of handling both serious bodybuilders and your average person just looking to feel better about their body. Ira is a consummate professional and more importantly a great friend. I do not know if I would have made progress to better myself without him.

I have struggled with weight issues ever since my early teens. Even though I noticed I was gaining weight over the years, I felt kind of stuck without any direction on how to fix the problem. I figured my metabolism was just naturally slow and this is how I am going to look for the rest of my life; I will be a little bigger than most women and I can't change it. I was an average person, who never learned how to create a proper meal plan, how to diet, or how to exercise in the gym. I had a gym membership for years and went on occasion when I felt motivated or when I felt fat. On days when I did find the strength to work out, I actually felt discouraged when I looked around and saw nothing but skinny women and ripped men spread throughout the gym. Long story short, the scale finally reached 179 and that is when I decided I had to make a lifestyle change because I was close to 200 pounds! Since I knew nothing about the fitness industry, I knew hiring a trainer would be the most effective option. Yes personal training can sometimes be expensive, but so are (insert unnecessary luxury that people often pay for). If you can pay to (blank luxury), then you can also pay to get in shape and stay in shape with a trainer to improve health and happiness. I'm not saying that losing weight was the only way I could ever be happy with myself, but I am saying that losing weight has given me more freedom and comfort toward events that would have otherwise been embarrassing for me. For instance, in high school when my friends wanted me to go to the beach every weekend, I always made up an excuse to avoid that because I feared them, or anyone, seeing my body in a bikini. The day I started training with Ira, I knew something great was going to happen. After the first workout with him, I was so exhausted from having him take me through a workout that I would have never been able to do on my own. He does his job better than any trainer I've ever seen. He is attentive, dedicated, and you can easily tell how much passion he has for his career. He motivates me every workout to push hard and reach my physical goals. Nothing beats the way I feel when I start seeing the numbers slowly but surely drop on my scale. It's an amazing feeling because I know that I'm the one controlling that number, and that number no longer controls me. I was never the fitness type, but after working out for about a year with Ira, I have a new appreciation toward the fitness and health industry and how much it can impact one's life. Ira trains hard and he expects you to try your best and finish until you can't push anymore, which may be difficult, but that is what makes for a fantastic personal trainer. I’m not paying for someone to hold my hand during a workout, I want to get as physically involved as possible to create the body I’ve always wanted. Overall, the road toward an improved self takes a lot of time, effort, consistency, and specific dietary improvements, but the end result is well worth every sore muscle and every piece of chocolate left uneaten. Ira has changed my life for the better and I couldn't be happier with the results I have obtained. I went from a size 12/14 weighing 179 pounds to a size 4/6 weighing 135 pounds. Hiring Ira as my trainer has completely improved my health and happiness and my new body is rockin'!

After years of bad eating and drinking habits I was severely out of shape and in poor health. I joined a gym and began working out and doing cardio. I made minimal progress because I had no experience or knowledge on how to work out and structure my eating. I went through periods of high and low motivation which resulted in yo-yoing back and forth between losing weight and gaining it back. As I did cardio I watched the trainers with their clients. One trainer stood out to me as always being laser focused. He was always fully engaged with his clients as if nobody else was in the gym. I introduced myself to this trainer and told him I would like to hire him to train me. Within a few months of training with Ira I started getting comments from friends and family asking if I lost weight. Soon after the comments turned into asking if I was working out because I was building muscle and it became noticeable! My pants became too big around the waist and my shirts became too tight across the chest shoulders and arms. I had to buy an entire new wardrobe, but this was a small price to pay for improving my health and fitness and building a physique that I am proud of! I have been training with Ira for over 10 years now and I still look forward to my workouts with him. After years of trying I finally convinced my wife Anna to begin training with Ira. Anna was not the type of person who enjoys working out but now she too looks forward to her workouts with Ira. Not only have Ira's personal training and nutrition recommendations transformed our health and bodies, we also feel great every day having much more strength and energy. We are both very thankful for what Ira has done and continues to do for us!

My husband Dave has been working out with Ira for many years and I am so glad that I finally started training with him. I know that I would never have achieved the level of fitness and wellness I have at my age if not for the personal attention given in my training sessions. Ira is an example of a great personal trainer who knows that everyone is different and is able to tailor his sessions to each person individually. This is a reflection of his vast experience and time as a personal trainer. You can rest assured that no matter your stage in life or fitness level, he is able to put together workouts that will help you along your fitness journey. This not only extends to the workouts that he puts together but in how he also tracks his clients’ fitness progress. While some other trainers are paid to simply push you through a workout, Ira will make sure you are making progress towards your goals by tracking your weight loss and body fat percentage, ensuring that he cares about your long-term goals as well. Even in the event that you have to take an extended leave of absence, he is more than happy and ready to pick up where you may have left off before. Additionally, I am also very appreciative of his professionalism in that he is always focused on the client during the workouts and is not spending time on or constantly checking his phone. While this may not matter to some people, this is actually an important point for me and only adds to his high quality as personal trainer and fitness coach. In summary, if you are looking for a good long-term trainer who genuinely cares about his clients and helping them reach their goals, then Ira is a great choice that you will not regret.

I will recommend Ira to anyone who is looking for a Personal Fitness Trainer and I’ll tell you why! I began training with Ira 3 months before my son’s wedding. I wanted to lose some weight/inches around my waist and fit into my dress comfortably. I also wanted to be on a good healthy eating regimen. Within 24hrs I had the guidelines and suggestions on how to maintain my eating habits. I began training twice a week. Ira made sure I could lift/pull the specific weight that would challenge me and give me the strength, tone and definition required to get my desired results. I noticed tone and definition of certain muscle groups which Ira taught me. I started to see my shape change as my midriff and belly reduced in size. I am genuinely glad to have met Ira as he kept me accountable. The various exercises and motivation he offered kept me on track. Now, I continue to come to the gym on my own. However, whenever I feel the need for any guidance, I know who to turn to.

As a former athlete, I have always been in shape. However, after an unfortunate accident at age 30, it was a struggle to simply exercise. With a hip and shoulder injury, it was difficult to maintain an active lifestyle. But, I was determined to get back in shape! I visited several gyms and spoke with numerous trainers who could assist me in meeting my fitness goals. When I met with Ira and toured the gym, I knew it was the perfect fit! I have always struggled with my weight, until I lost it all when I was in high school. I wasn’t eating or exercising, and I was taking medications to lose weight fast. As you can already guess, this was a “quick fix”. A few years later I gained it all back plus interest. Ira has really helped me realize that what I needed wasn’t a quick fix, but a lifestyl e change. Ira never lets me give up— I can tell he really cares for me, physically and mentally, since he’s always motivating me to be the best version of myself. He pushes me to be the best that I can and even though sometimes I may not believe in myself, I know that Ira does. He’s very attentive to my workouts and eating habits, and he will work above and beyond to accommodate you. Since I began training with Ira, I have lost over 20 lbs and gotten stronger than I’ve ever been or thought I could be. My friends and family all tell me they see a big difference in my body, which is always nice to hear. I can honestly say that because of Ira, I look forward to exercising, and at the risk of sounding "punny", getting in shape for life. Having Ira as my trainer, for the first time ever, I feel like I have all the tools and support necessary to not only lose the weight, but keep the weight off and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
